How to become a mason
Becoming a Mason is a meaningful decision, and we're honored you're considering it. The process is simple, and it starts with one step: reaching out. Here's what you need to know.
Requirements
To join, you must be a man of at least 18 years of age who believes in a higher power. You should be of good character, have a desire to improve yourself, and live or work in Hawaii. That's it—no secret handshakes required to get started.
The Process
Start by contacting our lodge or attending one of our public events. You'll meet the brothers, ask questions, and get a feel for who we are. When you're ready, you'll submit a petition. A few brothers will meet with you, the lodge votes, and if approved, you begin your journey through the three degrees of Masonry.
What to expect
The journey from petition to Master Mason typically takes a few months. There are fees involved to cover lodge operations and Grand Lodge dues. The degrees themselves are meaningful ceremonies—no hazing, nothing embarrassing—just traditions that have shaped men for centuries.
